The weather’s gone a bit south since we last updated you on what we’ve been up to, but undeterred by one of the wettest Julys on record, here’s the lowdown on some of what’s been going on here during the supposed first month of summer.
In July, Amazon celebrated its 20th birthday with a special event called Prime Day, offering amazing deals to Prime customers. Prime Day, which broke global Amazon sales records, was celebrated in all eight fulfilment centres across the UK with parties, cakes and DJs. Some great media coverage appeared following the events across the country.
Lots of other great things happened for the Amazon team, including the fulfilment centre in Swansea donating £3,000 of cooking equipment to Blaenymaes Primary School for its family weekend cooking classes, Amazon in Doncaster making a £3,000 donation to Morley Place Junior School to help fund new outdoor equipment and the team in Peterborough volunteering at the city’s Thorpe Hall Hospice. MP for West Fife, Douglas Chapman also paid a visit to the Dunfermline FC to learn more about Amazon’s ‘Kids Love Books’ literary initiative.
Oh, and we also made a trip to London in July to attend the very cool Amazon Wishlist 2015 event. You can see some pictures of the event, featuring thousands of products that will be red hot this Christmas, on our Facebook page.
This month, John helped deliver a social media training session for premature baby charity, Tinylife, as part of his role on the CIPR committee for Northern Ireland. John volunteered his time to help the charity get a grasp of twitter, who uses it, the best times to tweet and how to engage audiences through creative content. It was great to meet the wonderful staff at the charity and we’re looking forward to seeing their social profiles grow and get the recognition they deserve.
One of our newest clients at the agency (more information on that below!), our first job for The Jungle involved a local school making a fun trip to see the centre’s llamas. Pupils from Kilronan School in Magherafelt visited The Jungle to experience the calming effects of the llamas accompanied by a film crew from UTV. A fantastic piece of national broadcast coverage followed on UTV Live – you can check it out here.
Negative Equity NI
We told you last month that we were working with the great team at Sugar Rush creative to put the finishing touches to a special animation for Negative Equity NI. We’re pleased to say that it’s now finished and ready to view – have a look here.
In other news…

That’s a small taster of stuff we worked on in July. Our new office Sonos sound system has just arrived so we’re off to set it up. Keep an eye on our website to find out what we’re listening to. See you next time!
