Northern Ireland Granola Manufacturer Secures Distribution Deal with Online Retail Giant, Ocado

– JUST LIVE A LITTLE ANNOUNCES LISTING WITH RETAILERS IN ADDITION TO TESCO NI, ASDA NI AND IRISH WHOLEFOODS –

Just Live a Little, a family run company based in Portaferry, has launched eight products from its homemade granola range into premium online retailer, Ocado.

The Ocado deal follows a year of incredible growth which saw the company double its turnover and grow its product offering from three to thirteen products across the range. The deal forms part of the local business’s growth strategy to expand its market position across Great Britain and gain a greater share of the UK and Ireland’s breakfast market category (currently valued at £2bn.)

The popular brand, which started out as a husband and wife team selling homemade granola at an artisan market stall in St George’s Market in 2011, now has products stocked across 6 countries and is available from Tesco NI, the Henderson Group, Ocado, Asda NI, The Musgrave Group, ParkNShop, Hong Kong, Amazon, NISA, Diverse Fine Foods, Irish Wholefoods and a large number of independent retailers and artisan shops.

The initial £100,000 Ocado deal is a key part of Just Live a Little’s growth strategy to expand its customer base across the UK and Ireland and grow the business a further 100% over the next year.

Founder of Just Live a Little, Jill Crawford says:

“We have spent the past few years perfecting recipes, developing our range and establishing our brand within Northern Ireland having secured several listings with some of the country’s biggest retailers. We have also secured a listing with SuperValu Centra Ireland, the second largest retailer in Ireland. We have been overwhelmed with the support for the product in Northern Ireland and definitely see 2015 as the year to capture a bigger share of the UK and Ireland’s expanding granola category.

“We’re delighted to be working with so many big distributors and see the partnership with Ocado as the perfect opportunity to expand our customer base.”
