Every Thursday, we open up the Clearbox archives for a trip down memory lane. One year ago this week, we helped the fab team at Nicobrand celebrate The Queen’s Award for Enterprise and, as today is Her Majesty’s birthday, we thought we’d throw back to April 2015.
Nicobrand is an Actavis company that manufactures pharmaceutical grade nicotine ingredients for use in smoking cessation products. The Coleraine based company was honoured with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Excellence last year and we helped the brand issue a media announcement and organise a celebratory event to mark the occasion.
The team, led by Managing Director Mark McQuillan, won the award for outstanding achievement in International Trade after recording an overseas sales growth of over £1.6 million (785%) across a period of three years (2011-2013.)
The local company supplies products to more than 15 countries worldwide, including Poland, Italy, Korea and the USA. The Clearbox team worked with Nicobrand to communicate the fantastic award win to the media in Northern Ireland before visiting the Palace to collect the award during the summer.
Our media activity helped Nicobrand achieve national print coverage and broadcast interviews with Mark McQuillan whilst generating over 2 million opportunities to see or hear across online and offline media.
The celebratory presentation event saw the company’s headquarters transformed into a venue fit for a Queen while local dignitaries, media and stakeholders came along to watch as the Lord Lieutenant of the County, Denis Desmond CBE awarded Nicobrand with the Queen’s Award scroll and a crystal bowl.
