It’s time once again to jump behind our doodle wall and reveal this week’s Clearbox personality. Today’s doodle diary comes from Chloe, our maths genius and intern extraordinaire. Over to you, Miss McLaurin…
Name: Chloe McLaurin
What’s your role at Clearbox?
I’m the all-singing, all-dancing intern and I’m staying here forever! I’m doing a degree in Accounting at Queen’s University and use my free time to learn the PR ropes at Clearbox.
What are you doing on the wall?
Being pretty flashy, under lights and behind a camera. When I first came to Clearbox, I told the team about doing drama and acting at school and how I secretly would love to do it again and I guess that always stuck in their heads and now here I am on the wall…
What would your specialist subject on Mastermind be?
BBC drama Silent Witness. It’s amazing, if anyone is need of some new TV inspo. I could list every episode’s storyline since the very first episode, which got me infatuated and had me Googling for hours after it. I know a lot about the production of the show, how it’s set-up and I also know lots about one of its stars, David Caves, who comes from Northern Ireland.
What’s on your playlist right now?
A lot to be fair, but my most recent bulky buy was Alessia Cara’s album ‘Know-It-All’. Great listen if you ask me! But try before you buy, I don’t want to be held responsible for anyone else’s dislike of my music taste.
Binge-watching anything at the moment?
I wish I was. I had a week off uni after exams and was craving a binge-watch but I didn’t get round to it. If anyone has any suggestions on good shows right now, send them my way. I need inspiration! I think my best binge-watching time was when I did a season-a-day of Suits last summer. Great times.
What couldn’t you live without?
Hmmm, tough one. I’m going to have to go with the generic ‘technology’ answer. I’m not saying specifically ‘my phone’, but probably some form of Apple device. When my phone died recently I coped, but only because of my iPad.
What’s your favourite food?
Well going by my diet recently, apparently it’s chocolate. Unfortunately for me, I can’t seem to go a day without having some. Some would say concerning, especially when I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite food, but maybe that’s me being in denial of my addiction. The first step to recovery is admission, right?
What keeps you awake at night?
Easy, my Instagram feed. Sad? At any point in the day if I’m bored or have nothing to do, that is the first place I go to. I can spend hours searching for things and getting lost in something else, it truly amazes me. Night time is definitely a must for me on Instagram though, I just get myself all excited by searching things I’m going to do and places I’m going to go and then I get even more excited and can’t sleep…It’s a vicious cycle, but a great one. I am definitely ‘pro-insta’, one million times over.
What makes you go to sleep?
I would love to know the answer to this question myself. I’m not sure, I’m generally not someone who can fall asleep within 10 minutes. One place I do normally fall asleep easily is whilst travelling, motion is always a good sleep-inducer.
Finally, what’s the best thing about Clearbox?
Our staff and our clients :). But I genuinely think it’s Anna, John and Dani and the atmosphere they create that keeps you coming back. It’s so fun in here, I get excited when Wednesdays come around and I get to come into work. The good ‘ole Northern Irish banter is great and also the fact that we have really fun clients means the campaigns we work on are lots of fun.
