2017 - 2018

Since its launch in 2013, Groove Festival has firmly established itself as one of Ireland’s most loved independent summer festivals, and in 2017 and 2018, we helped Sony Mobile bring its two year sponsorship of the event to life.

With the Sony Xperia Stage boasting a host of unforgettable musical performances, we created a two day immersive brand experience for festival goers each year. 

The stage and surrounding areas were fully branded and crowds were engaged with Sony Xperia branded content on the screen backdrop between acts. Thousands also had the opportunity to take part in the Sony Xperia Vortex Challenge, seeing themselves in Super Slow Motion and competing to win Sony Xperia devices. 

The Vortex was busy throughout the duration of the festival and most visitors couldn’t believe that a device was being given away each hour! Over €10,000 of devices were won across the weekend.

Adjacent to the Sony Xperia stage, we created an intimate Sony Xperia Hospitality Lounge with direct views of the stage, a private bar and a VR experience. Over the weekends we hosted select media, a network of Irish technology, mobile and music influencers as well as Sony Mobile customers. 

We also organised for the scorching hot weather both years. Yes, really.
