Greetings, Clearboxers! We don't know about you, but it has been a very long week and we can't wait to get the weekend started so, without further ado, here goes the Clearbox Weekly! This weekend, Northern Ireland will play host to the opening stages of the Giro D'Italia and everything has gone a bit pink in Belfast. We couldn't quite convince all members of staff to embrace the pink theme so we've decided to make the Clearbox Weekly pink instead. If you can't beat 'em…This week, we attended Enterprise NI's Business Connections Bootcamp, an event that brought together some of Belfast's most established brands and some of our local up and coming start-ups. The event featured some brilliant speakers, including Oscar Woolley from Suki Tea. It was really interesting to hear the journey of the brand from a stall in St George's Market to the virtual shelves of Amazon.co.uk and teapots around the world - very inspirational! We have also been doing a bit of work with another brand who are embarking on a similar journey from St George's Market. More information on that to follow in the coming weeks...Stuff we've seen:It's been a week of projections for big brands this week as Morrisons and the 2015 Rugby World Cup both turned to light to get their messages across. Morrisons came in for some criticism for projecting a giant baguette onto the Angel of the North statue in Newcastle, while the 2015 Rugby World Cup projection onto the Mayor of London's office was viewed more favourably.Getting back to our Giro theme, we absolutely love this video that our friends at Afro-Mic Productions have created for Larne Borough Council to capture 12 days of PINK and community spirit. We also have to give major props to the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Máirtín Ó Muilleoir, for turning up to our photocall yesterday with bright pink hair!On that note, we will sign off for another week and wish you all a very happy, enjoyable and safe weekend!
